Global Dental academy, in collaboration with Royal Dentists Institute, is providing post graduate dental training for dentists who completed their primary dental qualification, the training is designed to advance the knowledge and skills of the participants. The training programs are designed in way so it won’t interfere with your normal work schedule and are divided into modules with clinical workshops and clinical requirements. By the end of the 3 year training program the participant will receive a Diploma from the Academy and a training certificate from Royal Dentists Institute that would make him eligible to enter the Specialty membership exam with Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; Membership in Endodontics or Membership in Prosthodontics. The training is supervised and designed by a (F) Regional Dental Adviser of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Examiners with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, international university faculty members and all are certified from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Course Details

The dentist will receive training under supervision of Consultants and specialists holding the Membership in Restorative dentistry (MRD RCSEd) and Membership in Orthodontics (M Orth RCSEd) and under the supervision of (F) Regional Dental Adviser of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. At the end of the Post duration the dentist will be eligible to sit the exams of the Diploma in Membership in Endodontics or Prosthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Also after passing the required examination the candidate would be awarded a Degree of post graduate Diploma from the Global Dental Academy.

The details of the post are:-

• the duration of the post is 3 years full time.
• The overall distribution of time spent in all training pathways is 60% clinical, 25% academic and 15% research.
• A Specialist in charge of the trainee for clinical sessions will be readily available for consultation, as appropriate to the trainee’s development.
• four to five modules per year
• Hands-on workshops for the aspects of the specialty.

Timetable

• Timetable will reflect a distribution of 60% clinical, 25% academic and 15% research over the period of the trainee’s program.
• Timetable is design to accommodate the working dentist (No time off work*).

Entry requirements

• license to practice dentistry.
• Passing the interview conducted by the program directors.
